i hate the "new light" bull shit they have pronounced the end of the world that many times iam so shocked they still have followers.however with "new light"you can get away with anythink.. what do you guys really hate about the watchtower society.

These kind of quotes are the thing that I hate. This gem is from the ‘proclaimers’ book talking about the fact that 1975 didn’t happen. They ask a question that is critical of themselves and then they don’t answer it by putting a positive statement of faith following the question that in no way answers anything.

The answer to the question "did the beliefs of JW’s prove correct..?"…the simple answer is "NO…!! It proved to be bullshit…!!".

Wouldn’t you just love it if in their literature they could be as candid…..

oh boy, my legs are burning!.

we bought mountain bikes last weekend and have been out every other day or so.

today we went without the kids on a much further ride up some steep hills and along some lovely pathways.. i used to ride road bikes a lot (10-20 years ago) and go on 5-6 hour rides with groups but this is very different ... i need to keep practicing and will then think about getting a nice cervelo or something to do the jasper to banff ride.. for now, i'm happy to just get home each time!

Yeah….I get out on the bike….although I will say that I have not been out for a goodly while. I wanted to get out this year (still haven’t yet, lazy slob that I am, and feel it too) but just haven’t seemed to manage it. I keep putting it off because I know that it is going to hurt….

Wish that I would have kept up the fitness from over Christmas last year, when I went to Snowdonia, Wales, which has the Marin trail to ride around. (Really recommend it if there are any Brit enthusiasts.) Good for winter riding, as there is not too much mud…..

But alas, I let the fitness go, and now I’m a fat slob……and when you are in that condition, it is going to hurt to change it…. But no pain no gain right…??

Give it a few weeks and you will be ok. Every other day is good as well…… (Must take my own advice….What a hypocrite…..)

barbara anderson recently posted that she felt at a loss as to where she would now be able to make her announcements.. hopefully freeminds can be the main place where we all go for big announcements once they are no longer available on jwd - freeminds helped many to initially find out the substance behind their doubts and i'm sure if there's not an announcement feature right now, randy can sort one out?

Let's hear some crazy/cool stories!

my husband reminded me of something crazy we did when we first started dating, so i thought i'd share it here and see if anyone else has some fun stories to add!.

we went out to dinner one night...me in a nice dress and him in a dress shirt and slacks.

afterward we decided to hit the beach for a nice moonlit walk in the sand.

Well this story happened to me when I was living in my apartment a few years ago….

Early one Saturday morning, when I was still asleep, there was a ring at the door. Just a woman doing a sales call. I wasn’t interested, said no thank you and shut the door. Not even a minuet later another ring. It was a girl from downstairs who had just gone outside to get the milk, dressed only in her dressing gown and the door had closed behind her, locking her out of her flat. Oh Sh*t. ……

She was a bit upset and asked if she could borrow my phone to make a call to her family who had the spare key. I think that they were about an hours drive away. At this point I was thinking to myself that she was wanting to come in my flat, but being a bloke, and also the fact that I lived in a studio flat and my bed was not made, the place was a bit of a mess. So I was not too keen for her to come in. So I said that she could borrow the phone, I closed the door on her, and got my phone which was a cordless, and gave it to her in the hall and then shut the door again. My thought at the time was to try to make the place as respectable as I could in just the few seconds I had. But I just left this poor girl out on the landing, feeling rather exposed I am sure. But the funny thing was the woman that had called on my door to start with was just across the hall and was watching all of this go on, and the look that she gave me when I closed the door the second time, as if to say "you aren’t going to leave this poor undressed girl out here are you, you heartless bastard"….Ouch…She was right to look at me in that way as well. Can’t believe I left this poor girl out there just because of my vanity….

To finish the story, and make myself look a little bit better, after she made the call she knocked on the door again and thanked me for the use of the phone. But I had been thinking in the mean time and I wondered if she had left a window open. I did a job then that I needed ladders for. So she said that she had left a window open, and so I went and got into her flat and all was well…..Phew…. She was very relieved. I felt a little better as well…the hero….

But here is the punch line. When I went through her flat to open the door, I noticed that her flat was 5 times more untidy than mine…..tut…

Anyway, a few days later and there was a ring at the door and she popped a bottle of very expensive whisky in my hands as a thank you. So it pays to be a heartless bastard sometimes…..
